Recently, under the guidance of Prof. Faye Feier CHEN and Prof. Huiling HUANG of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, two students, Yuting LANG (majoring in International Integrated Resort Management) and Yuqi GUO (majoring in Business Administration) won the second place in the PATA Student Talk in Macau organized by Pacific Asia Travel Association-Macau Chapter Student Club. The competition aims to stimulate students’ unique views and understanding of the future development of the tourism industry in Macao and the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, laying the foundation for their future career paths in Macao and the Greater Bay Area.

The competition was centered on the “Sustainable Development” and “Talent Development” objectives of the Macau Government Tourist Office, and students Yuting LANG and Yuqi GUO demonstrated their professional abilities and innovative ideas in their submission of the competition plan and group presentation video. In the final stage, they gave a live speech, which inspired them to be more innovative through communication and competition with other participants. Finally, under the guidance and judgment of professional judges from various sectors of the Macau tourism industry, the team won the second place. This competition strengthened their team spirit and public speaking ability, which is of great significance in developing their professional ability and innovative spirit.
