On October 18th, Jay Huang, Vice President of Customer Insights & Competitor Analysis, Marketing Services of Galaxy Entertainment Group, was invited as a guest lecturer to attend the “Resort Marketing and Promotion” course taught by Associate Professor Prof. Yuansi HOU to share with students.

Ms. Jay HUANG introduced the latest developments in MICE of Galaxy Entertainment Group and combined with her professional knowledge, she elaborated on the new trends and challenges that integrated resorts are facing, and at the same time, she also introduced many marketing-related strategies and models to the students. In the lecture, Ms. Jay Huang explained brand building and the relationships between brands and customers. In addition, she emphasized that digital marketing is one of the major trends nowadays, and the biggest challenge is how to ensure the return rate of advertising. Ms. Jay Huang also believes that determining the target audience is the most important part of marketing and used many real-life cases to explain how to use the “Persona” model, that is, to think from the perspective of the customer, through charts, data, and other means to deeply analyze the target audience, study the needs of different customer groups to segment the market. Finally, Ms. Jay HUANG used her work experience in Galaxy Entertainment Group to explain how to skillfully combine online and offline marketing methods to enhance user experience and further enhance brand influence and market competitiveness.

This lecture not only provided students with the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of marketing strategies and trends, but also guided them to explore the combination of traditional and digital marketing. At the end of the lecture, the students asked questions about marketing and career opportunities, and Ms. Jay HUANG and her colleagues from the Human Resources department also answered the questions enthusiastically. Many students expressed that they had benefited greatly from the lecture that they had gained a more in-depth understanding of the marketing strategies and trends, and were confident about their future career prospects.
