Ren Jinjuan, an associate professor of finance from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration, recently received the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal Research Excellence Award for her paper titled ‘The Loud Silence of Suppressed Short-Sale Demand’ at the Seventh Auckland Finance Meeting. Held in Queenstown, New Zealand, this year’s meeting attracted hundreds of experts and scholars in the fields of finance and economy from around the world. Out of the 120 papers presented at the meeting, only six were selected as best papers, with only one awarded the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal Research Excellence Award.
