The Seventh POMS-HK International Conference was recently held at the University of Macau (UM). Under the theme ‘Innovation-driven Services and Operations’, the conference aimed to provide a platform for scholars and experts to exchange ideas and managerial insights on scientific research, industry practices, and the latest innovations in the areas of service operations and production systems. The event was co-organised by the Production and Operations Management Society-Hong Kong Chapter, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and UM.

This year’s conference attracted over 200 experts, scholars, and postgraduates from around the world, including South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, India, Canada, Australia, Austria, Turkey, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. The keynote speakers of the conference were Paul Zipkin, a professor emeritus from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and Prof Refael Hassin from Tel Aviv University’s School of Mathematical Sciences.
