Our Global Business Management (GBM) student, Tang Qin (Christine), has won a first runner-up award in the Finals of 2021PricewaterhouseCoopers – 24 Hour Business Challenge (PWC-24H Cup) by teaming with a Financial Controllership student, Hu Kaiyang, and two other members from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

The PWC-24H Cup is hosted by School of Accounting of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers exclusively for undergraduate students. Initially called the Financial Case Analysis Competition of Shanghai Five Universities, the competition was renamed as PWC-24H Cup in 2010. Since then, the coverage of the competition has gradually expanded and attracted increasing numbers of local and overseas universities as contestants. In the semi-final, the team competed with other 39 participating teams from top universities from China and abroad, including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, University of California (San Diego), University of Manchester and others.

In addition to the certificate and cash prize, Christine has also won an internship opportunity at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a recognition of the team’s outstanding performance in the competition.
