On November 8, students from the Accommodation, Facilities and Security Management course of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management were led by Prof. Soey Sut Ieng LEI to visit the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The visit was organized by Ms. Rebecca Tam, Director of Training and Development and Ms. Yuki Leong, Senior Manager of Training and Development of SJM Resorts, S.A.. To help the students understand more about the daily operation of the hotel, as well as the facilities and safety management measures, The responsible personnel invited the management in charge of the resort’s public area to explain the day-to-day operations of the department and the issues that need to be addressed. During the session, the students also asked questions about the maintenance of the facilities and exchanged with the management team. Afterwards, they took the students to visit a number of guest rooms to experience the unique design and style of the luxury hotel THE KARL LAGERFELD and Asia’s first Palazzo Versace hotel.
Faculty and students of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management showed their enthusiasm and participation during the visit. The visit provided them with a unique opportunity for industry exchange and on-site experience, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments and changes in the integrated resort industry.
