Recently, a team of professors from the Department of Tourism Management of Fudan University visited the University of Macau and received a warm welcome from the professors of the Department of Integrated Resorts and Tourism Management. Xiaolei SHENG, Party Secretary of the Department of Tourism Management of Fudan University, Zhaoxiang BA, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the Department of Tourism Management, Yunlong SUN, Associate Dean of the Department of Tourism Management, Ben WU, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism Management, Yang GUO, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism Management, and Jin ZHANG, Teaching Secretary for Master’s degree in Tourism management, were invited to join the visit. Prof. Li MIAO, Prof. Davis Ka Chio FONG, Prof. Amy Siu Ian SO, and Prof. Yuansi HOU warmly welcomed them on behalf of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the University of Macau. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and to jointly promote the development of tourism management.

During the visit, a team of Fudan University professors had an in-depth meeting with professors from the Department of Integrated Resorts and Tourism Management. Both sides discussed the research direction, teaching methodology and practical experience of tourism management, and exchanged views on the future development and talent cultivation of the “the China Tourism Education Alliance” jointly initiated by the two universities and other universities. In addition, a group of professors from the Department of Tourism of Fudan University also visited the campus of UM to understand the history, culture and education philosophy of UM. The professors from Fudan University were also impressed by the beautiful campus environment and advanced teaching facilities.

This visit has built a bridge for more in-depth exchanges and academic cooperation between the two universities, enabling them to jointly promote the prosperous development of the discipline of Tourism Management, and opening up a wider scope of cooperation in student training and scientific research innovation.
