A team of FBA students comprises three finance students and one accounting student who won the 1st runner-up in the CFA Institute Research Challenge – Hong Kong Final on February 18, 2023. They will be one of the two teams to represent Hong Kong and Macau to join the East Asia Sub-Regional Contest of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 22/23 in March. This is the second time our UM team joins the competition. “The team displayed excellent teamwork and creativity in approaching problems throughout the competition. Their success story could inspire their fellow classmates to work productively with others.” Professor Lewis Tam, Coach of the team, said. Three finance students are LI Xinjue Cheryl, SUN Jiachen Simon, and DU Yuanchi Alisa. Professor Hung Wan Kot, the coordinator of the finance programme, also provided valuable comments and advice on the team’s preparation for the presentation.
