Abstract

In this talk, we will introduce a variety of core technological concepts of blockchain, with a special focus on the current status and development of blockchain ecosystem.  The recent progress in blockchain technology architecture, state-of-the-art algorithms, and platform construction will also be overviewed.

Grounded on the discussion on business technologies, such as distributed businesses, big data, and the new infrastructures of digitalization, we will analyze the impact of blockchain in the fields of finance, justice, culture, industrial engineering, public administration and the like, and discusses the significance role of blockchain in China’s  infrastructure building in integrating the digital and real-world economies.

In addition, the support of a digital ecological foundation is the critical antecedent of the development of digital innovations. Therefore, this talk will also introduce the technological, industrial, and academia open-source communities that contribute to the R&D, use cases development, and industrial application of blockchain.

Biography

Mr. Kaixiang ZHANG is the chief architect of WeBank blockchain, as well as the chief architect of FISCO BCOS open source blockchain platform. He has worked in large Internet companies and banking industry for many years, and has rich experience in distributed systems, network security, massive services, and other IT fields. He is currently dedicated to blockchain platform system development, promoting blockchain-based business implementation, and helping the construction of industry ecology through open-source community building.
