This seminar highlights and reflects on some current challenges regarding academic research in the accounting discipline. It will also provide discussions and share some experiences on key issues associated with research publishing from the perspective of editorial and review processes in international academic journals. Overall, this seminar would be especially helpful to early career academic researchers and PhD students in the relevant area.



Edward Lee is a Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. He is a Joint Editor of Accounting and Business Research. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics, British Accounting Review, China Journal of Accounting Research, and European Journal of Finance.

He has published numerous papers in academic journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, Accounting Horizons, European Accounting Review, European Financial Management, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Corporate Finance among others.
