The “Tourism Tribune-China Tourism Research Annual Conference 2023” was successfully held on October 21st at Anhui Normal University. The faculty members and students from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau, together with many tourism academics and industry practitioners, participated in this academic event and shared their keynote speeches. Their speeches covered a wide range of research areas and fully demonstrated the academic strength and research results of the University of Macau in tourism research.
Prof. Li MIAO, Head of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau, together with Chen Chunlin, a PhD student of the University of Macau, and Hu Jingjing, a postgraduate student of the University of Macau who graduated this year, shared their analyses of the aesthetics of life and travel, which brought new thoughts and inspirations to the participants. Prof. Yuansi HOU, Associate Professor in Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, jointly presented the relationship between color saturation and tourists’ perception and travel intention in the sub-forum. Prof. Huiling HUANG, Prof. Fiona Xi YANG, and the postgraduate student Lei I Teng, who graduated this year, also gave insightful presentations. Last but not least, Prof. Huiling HUANG participated in the panel discussion as a panelist.
The successful organization of this conference not only provided a platform for academic exchanges between faculty members and students from the University of Macau and other universities, but also strengthened the cooperation and communication among the participants. Through the speeches and comments of the participants, the participants stimulated each other’s ideas and expanded their knowledge and understanding of the field of tourism research.
