As part of the “General plan for building a Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone in Hengqin”, the “new space” and the “new home” were implemented and in order to deepen teachers’ understanding of Macao’s culture and education in the cooperation zone, CCE and Executive Education of FBA jointly organized the “Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin 2022 Designated Training Course for Education Managers” on December 2nd to 4th . A total of 40 teachers from Hengqin participated in this training, which was hosted by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and undertaken by Zhu Kuan (Macau) Human Resource Operation Co., Ltd.
The three-day training was very informative and fruitful. Prof. VONG Sou Kuan and Prof. ZHOU Yisu from FED, Prof. TANG Keng Pan, Emeritus Professor from FAH and Dr. LOI Hoi Ngan, Chairman of the Macau Youth Greater Bay Area Development Association, attended and discussed topics such as “Deep Integration with Macao Hengqin: The Future of Macao’s Sustainable Development”, “A Comparison of Educational Policies between Macao and the Mainland” and “Introduction to Macao’s Teaching Philosophy”. It was a rich exchange of information among the guests and the education managers.
During the off-campus visit, the participants visited a few local middle schools in Macao, had discussions with Macao education managers, and discussed further the policies and developments of education in Macao and the Mainland. Besides, their visits also included exploring the historic center of Macao, which combines the Chinese and Western cultures, as well as visiting other attractions and experiencing Macao’s unique culture.
Through this activity, education managers from Hengqin and Macao have been able to build communication bridges. Education managers in the cooperation zone have gained a comprehensive understanding of Macao’s culture, education policy, etc. It has effectively facilitated learning exchanges between education managers in both places.
