Creating a Glocal Impact
With the vision of becoming a model world-class business faculty and creating significant impact on the business community and society we serve, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) has been actively engaging in activities which add value to internationalization of the brand and relationships with the society. Based in Macau which is located in the Pearl River Delta and the Greater Bay Area, the most economically developed region in China and one of the most prosperous areas in Asia, FBA is committed to nurture business talents and leaders who serve not only the region, but also the rest of world. Additionally, FBA is dedicated to advance knowledge of the world we serve and the wellbeing of business community.
To realize what we stated above, FBA has made achievements in a variety of areas and been engaging in works that add significant value to our brand both internationally and locally. FBA has earned accreditations from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, making it one of the top 1% business schools in the world with the Triple Crown accreditation. Together with top business schools such as MIT Sloan School of Management, Columbia Business School and INSEAD, FBA has earned the membership of Global Business School Network (GBSN). GBSN has about a hundred of members which are in 48 countries across the six continents. It aims at promoting collaborations among business schools and nurturing management talents for developing world.
FBA is maintaining partnership with business schools in 17 countries and regions. Together with partners at the university level, over 80 universities are available for our students to pursue their exchange experience. By joining the joint Master’s program offered by the Washington University in St. Louis and FBA, graduates earn dual degrees upon completion of their study. FBA students have rich opportunities to study in a multicultural environment, which we believe will be imperative to broaden their eyesight and increase their competitiveness. Many recent graduates continued their postgraduate studies in top universities, for examples, Columbia University, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Michigan, University of Edinburgh, University of Bristol, University of Melbourne, and others. Recent graduates also started their careers at renowned multinational corporations such as Apple, Alibaba Group, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, HSBC, BMW, General Motors, Prada, MGM Grand, Sands China, Wynn, and others. Some early graduates are currently lawmakers, senior executives in multinational corporations, and entrepreneurs. While the DBA program was launched in fall 2019, students have shiny profiles as they were owners of and senior executives in multinational corporations in various sectors such as bank, real estate, manufacturing, integrated resorts, conglomerates, and others.
FBA members actively advance knowledge of glocal community through different means such as delivery of speeches at international academic and industry conferences, commentaries in international and local media, provision of training to the business societies and NGOs, provision of consultancy service to government and corporations. Through its knowledge transfer events, FBA served as a platform for industry leaders to exchange ideas and successful alumni to share their precious experience. FBA advisory board is constituted by members who are leaders in different business sectors. All stakeholders have made significant contributions to the success of FBA. A better future is promising.
