On the evening of November 27th, the “UM FBA Business Consultancy Competition – The Social Enterprise Accessible Travel Agency of Caritas Macau” was successfully held. This is a student competition organized by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau, Centre for Tourism and Integrated Resort Studies (CTIRS) at the FBA and Caritas Macau to improve the business of the Social Enterprise of the Accessible Travel Agency of Caritas Macau, attracting the attention of many students and business professionals.
In this exciting competition, the Unicorn team comprising three UM undergraduates, Liuqian WU (Integrated Resort and Tourism Management), Aiqi DENG (Accounting) and Ziman GE (Finance) under the guidance of Prof. Faye CHEN in the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, demonstrated excellent business proposal and teamwork skills, and finally won the championship.
The competition was divided into several stages, including a field visit of social enterprise, business proposal writing, presentation and Q&A. The Unicorn team presented a comprehensive and feasible business proposal to the judges and the audience through over a month’s preparation and an excellent presentation on the day. Their ideas focused on the sustainable development of Caritas Macau and proposed a series of specific measures to improve and publicize the social enterprise business of the barrier-free travel agency.
UM FBA Business Consultancy Competition not only provides a platform for students to practice their business skills and innovations, but also provides a great challenge and growth opportunity for their teamwork and creative thinking skills. The outstanding performance and contribution of the participating teams to the business field demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to nurturing outstanding business talents with innovative thinking and leadership qualities.
