IFRS is a set of accounting standards developed by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) to ensure financial reporting transparency and comparability across different countries. The two distinct topics of this series – IFRS 2 (Share-based Payment) and IFRS 5 (Non-current Assets Held for Sale and Discontinued Operations) have attracted over 80 registrations, consisting of senior auditors and partners from Big 4 and other local accounting firms, financial analysts and top executives from financial institutions, as well as practitioners from the public, utilities and gaming sectors.
The executive training was conducted by experienced IFRS trainers, including Prof. Morris Liu and Mr. Derek Chan (both from UM), who are experts in the field. During the training sessions, participants received interactive guidance on case studies and demonstration of real-life disclosure examples to gain a deeper understanding on the practical application of these standards in the real-world scenarios. Upon completion of the training sessions, participants will receive certificates issued by UM and the Professional Committee of Accountants (CPC) of Macau.
