The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at the University of Macau (UM) successfully held the Inauguration Ceremony for the Future Business Leader Experience Programme on 02/01/2026. This two-year programme is designed cultivate high-potential students through personalized mentorship from esteemed executives and industry leaders, equipping participants with the skills and insights necessary for success in a dynamic business landscape. Students selected for this initiative have demonstrated remarkable dedication and potential throughout a rigorous application and selection process.
Prior to the ceremony, Prof. Albert IP, FBA Advisory Board member and Senior Advisor of FBA Career Committee, engaged students in a round-table discussion. During this session, Prof. IP shared his valuable insights on the attributes and practices that contribute to success in the programme, drawing from his extensive experience as a global leader and in esteemed roles.
The ceremony was attended by industry leaders, including Ms. Catherine CHAN (Vice President, HR Services & Analytics, Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited), Mr. Lourence HO (Vice President of Human Resources Training & Development, Sands China Ltd.), Dr. Barry IP (Vice President of Learning and Advancement, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace), Mr. Michael LAU (Assistant Vice President, IT Strategic Projects, Sands China Ltd.), Ms. Beatrice LEONG (Senior Vice President of Business Development, MGM), Mr. Bernard LI (Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers), Mr. Nicolas U (General Manager, Corporate Banking Department, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China), along with FBA faculty and students.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks from Prof. Jun YU, Dean of FBA. Following his address, Prof. Albert IP provided further insights into fostering success within the programme. To express gratitude for the support of our Senior Advisor and Executive Career Council Board members, certificates of recognition were presented to them. Confirmations of enrollment were also presented to students selected to participate in this prestigious programme.
After the ceremony, the Executive Career Council Board members and students engaged in a productive discussion, further enhancing the collaborative and mentorship spirit of the initiative.
