On February 23rd, 2022, the students in International Integrated Resort Management Programme attended the “GO! Explore the Infinity of Sands China”, which is activity hosted by Sands China Ltd. to provide the opportunity for participants to explore the integrated resort (IR) industry. Through this experience, our students were able to deeply familiarize the function of various departments across the Sands China Ltd, including the departments of hotel operation, facilities, recreational, floral operation, housekeeping, F&B, and e-commerce. This activity was comprised of two elements – tour and workshops.
The tour was notably filled with interactive experiences. The participants were given the opportunity for balloon twisting with the staff from the recreational and floral operation departments. In addition, the representatives of the housekeeping department led the participants to visit one of the hotel suites and demonstrated their solid operational skill including bed making and special cleaning. Finally, under the guidance of the Pastry Chef from the Parisian Macao, the participants tasted the homemade Portuguese egg tarts and Hong Kong-style milk tea. The tour finished with warmth and laughter.
At the end of the activity, Sands China Ltd. arranged three workshops to the participants, including Professional CV Workshop, Professional Grooming Workshop and Mock Interview Workshop. These 30-minute workshops facilitated our students to develop the foundational techniques in the preparation of their future career in IR workplace.
