The 19th International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA 2025)

Faculty of Business Administration and Financial Econometrics team affiliated with Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management at University of Macau (UM) are pleased to host the 19th International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA 2025) on 1-3 June 2025. On behalf of the Advisory Committee and the Program Committee, we are now inviting prospective contributors to submit their papers electronically through the Conference Maker. Submissions will be considered in a broad range of themes, to cover all aspects of econometrics.

About SETA
Since 2005, the International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA) has become a leading academic event in Asia and Australasia, providing an international platform for researchers in econometrics to come together to present and discuss their ideas. The symposium aims to encourage econometric research, both theoretical and applied/empirical, and foster communication and collaboration among attendees.

Early registration: March 1, 2025 – May 1, 2025
Presenters’ Registration Deadline: May 1, 2025
Registration Deadline: May 23, 2025

SETA Best Young Scholar Award

The “SETA Best Young Scholar Award”, accompanied by a $3,000 prize, honors the most outstanding paper presented by a young scholar at the annual SETA conference. Eligibility is limited to papers not coauthored with advisors or senior colleagues. Selection is based on the quality of both the research and the presentation. Eligible candidates include scholars pursuing a PhD or those who have completed a PhD within the past five years, with the award granted to the presenter. To apply, candidates should select the relevant option during conference registration and upload an updated CV. An ad-hoc committee, comprising two continuing SETA members and one member designated by the local organizers, will evaluate the submissions.
