H. Biography of the Speaker (provided by the MCI Global):
Hasan Vatan / Vatan CEO: Born to a family from Hopa, in Ardahan in 1959. Graduated from Erenkoy Primary School, Findikli Secondary School, Kabatas Boy’s Highschool and ODTU Faculty of Architecture.
Started his business career in his father’s auto spare parts import and wholesale company. Developed Turkey’s first accounting software for micro systems and continued his career in technology area by opening Turkey’s first computer store. Hasan Vatan has been board member and CEO of Vatan bilgisayar since 1983. Wrote the book titled “What We Did Not Do For This Country?” (Vatan, the company name means “country” in Turkish) where he mentioned the story of Vatan Bilgisayar brand, first published in July 2010.
