The FBA Seminar Series 029: “The evolving landscape of the sharing economy: Looking back and moving forward” was hosted by Prof. Yuansi, Associate Professor of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management on February 15, 2023 and Prof. Kevin Kam Fung SO, was invited to deliver the seminar.
Prof. Kevin Kam Fung SO, is William S. Spears Chair in Business, Associate Professor, and Graduate Coordinator with the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University in the USA. In an one-hour seminar, Prof. So introduced the concept of the fast-evolving landscape of the sharing economy that has led to a spate of recent studies disentangling this new form of consumption model, which began as a digital socio-economic system that enables people to create, consume, and share products and services to an unparalleled degree globally.
Prof. So patiently responded to the students’ inquiries after the presentation. Through this lecture, Prof. So explored the theory and practice of sharing economy with the students , and obtained insight into the general trend of sharing economy development from the perspective of development. The students gained a lot and this cutting-edge knowledge also stimulated their interest in exploring the professional knowledge in the field of sharing economy.
