On November 15, 2024, FBA Seminar Series: Encouraging Tourist Pro-environmental Behavior: A Perspective of Habit by Prof. Nan XUE was hosted by Associate Professor Yuansi HOU from the Department of Integrated Resorts and Tourism Management and delivered by Assistant Professor Nan XUE from Department of Marketing, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham.
In the seminar, Assistant Professor Nan XUE reviewed the existing literature and theories on pro-environmental behavior in the context of tourism environments. By sharing the latest research findings, she analyzed the role of habits, including behaviors and cognitions, and discussed how and why these habits influence tourists’ pro-environmental behaviors. Additionally, Assistant Professor Xue Nan addressed various questions about pro-environmental behavior during the lecture, shared her personal opinions, and answered queries from faculty and students.
