On November 28, 2024, FBA Seminar Series: Disaster and Crisis Management in Tourism and Hospitality Research: Challenges, Strategies, and Future Directions by Yawei JIANG was hosted by Associate Professor Yuansi HOU from the Department of Integrated Resorts and Tourism Management and delivered by lecturer Yawei JIANG from Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management, Griffith Institute for Tourism Griffith University.
In the seminar, lecturer Yawei JIANG summarized the impact and effects of the frequent global disaster crises on the tourism and hotel industry. She emphasized that the need for effective disaster and crisis management is more urgent than ever. In the seminar, Yawei JIANG presented several recent research findings and offered more resilient and adaptive suggestions for how the tourism and hotel industry can face global risks and crises in the future.
