On 26 September 2025, the 19th National University Students Culture Tourism and MICE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regional) successfully concluded at the City University of Macau. This competition is a nationwide event jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub-council, the China Chamber of International commerce Commercial Chamber of Commerce, and The Commerce Economy Association of China. It is the only national-level authoritative competition in the field of cultural tourism and exhibition business studies.
The regional selection was divided into three categories: Tourism Category, MICE and Hotel Category and Design Category. It attracted 29 teams and 128 students from 12 universities across Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas. Participating institutions included the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, University of Macau, City University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, National Ilan University (Taiwan), National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (Taiwan), and Yonsei University (South Korea), among other renowned universities.
In this regional selection, a team composed of Xinliang Li, Lingli Yu, Yuanlin Jiao, Yilang Chen (Department of Accounting), and Jiayue Zheng—all second-year students from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management—delivered an outstanding performance under the guidance of Prof. Amy Siu Ian SO, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Associate Professor in the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management. Their efforts were rewarded with the Second Prize.
