The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) recently provided assistance to a forum on smart hotel technology as part of the MGS Entertainment Show. During the event, four industry practitioners and scholars discussed the latest trends of smart hotel technology, keys to success, and challenges facing the industry. UM students were also invited to attend the event and try the products exhibited at the show.

Lawrence Fong, assistant dean (international and external relations) of the FBA, was the moderator of the forum. Dr Fong said that the FBA places a great emphasis on university-industry collaboration and the forum aimed to provide a platform for experts, scholars, and industry practitioners to exchange ideas, adding that he hoped the event would help industry practitioners learn more about the FBA’s master’s degree programmes and doctoral degree programmes. He also thanked the organiser for giving UM students an opportunity to broaden their horizons.
