Recently, the faculty and students of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management went to the Hong Kong Design Institute to attend the “Chanel Talk” jointly organized by Chanel and the institute. This “Chanel Talk” can be regarded as a grand event in the fashion and creative fields. The activity invited many guests, including Bruno Pavlovsky, the fashion business director of Chanel; Margaret Zhang, the editor – in – chief of Vogue China; Penélope Cruz, the brand ambassador of Chanel and Oscar winner, as well as many well – known artists and designers to give speeches, injecting rich creative connotations into the event.
The discussion session of the event covered the future trends of the fashion and creative industries, how brands connect with people, and how to cultivate the creativity of young talents. The last part of the event was the Q&A session, during which the guests answered the students’ questions. This event provided the faculty and students with a precious opportunity to get in touch with the forefront of the fashion and creative industries, and brought new enlightenment to the faculty and students regarding how brands create value, as well as the importance of brand stories and brand building.
