Recently, the APacCHRIE 2024 was held at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. The conference brought together industry elites, experts and rising stars globally to discuss and exchange views on cutting-edge academic issues in the field of hospitality. Associate Professor Lawrence Hoc Nang FONG, Associate Professor Amy Siu Ian SO, Assistant Professor Huiling HUANG, Assistant Professor Soey Sut Ieng LEI and Assistant Professor Stella Xing LIU from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the University of Macau led a group of outstanding students to Seoul.

Under the guidance of their mentors, PhD student Nancy Li, Alyssa Xing, Tabby Zhou, postgraduate students Kelsey Li and previous Master’s graduate Grace Wang delivered the main presentations at the conference. Their presentations covered various aspects of the hospitality industry, such as service robots, consumer behavior, and destination satisfaction. In addition, PhD students Ivy Ye and Joy Zhang presented their research results in the poster session, which attracted the attention of many participants.

Meanwhile, Prof. Stella Xing LIU gave presentations during the conference, which provided valuable insights and inspiration for the participants. Prof. Soey Sut Ieng LEI also acted as a chair in the conference session.

APacCHRIE, as the Asia Pacific Chapter of the International CHRIE, is one of the most influential summits on tourism, hospitality, food and beverage management and education in the world. In this conference, the professors and students of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management fully demonstrated the research strength and influence of the department in the field of hospitality and catering and education with their professional academic qualities and enthusiastic attitude of participation.
