On 27 September 2025, the inaugural “MBCS – University of Macau Campus Contest of CFA Institute Research Challenge Hong Kong” successfully concluded at Room E22-G013 of the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Macau. Giuliana (Ai Yang), a third-year undergraduate student from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, together with her teammates in the EEF team, delivered an outstanding performance and won the Outstanding Honorable Winner Award, earning the opportunity to represent UM in the Hong Kong regional finals.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge, often referred to as the “Olympics of the Investment Industry,” is a premier global financial analysis competition conducted entirely in English for university students in finance, economics, and business. The competition aims to cultivate future financial professionals by enhancing their research capabilities and practical skills. Each year, it attracts participation from top universities worldwide. Competing teams are required to conduct in-depth research and analysis on a publicly listed company, prepare a professional investment report, and deliver a presentation, facing multiple challenges in equity research and corporate analysis.
