On January 27, a delegation from Induk University in Seoul, South Korea, embarked on an inspiring academic journey at the University of Macau. Led by Professor Keunsun Joy You and Assistant Professor Hyun Jung Cho from the Department of Smart Business and Office Management, the group of 20 undergraduate students explored the campus and engaged in learning activities.

At the University of Macau’s Hotel Laboratory, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Li Miao, Head of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management. Following this, Assistant Professor Hyunsu Kim delivered a special lecture titled “Macau’s Convention and Exhibition Industry.” He provided an in-depth analysis of the current state of Macau’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) sector and highlighted the “1+4” economic diversification strategy of the Macau Special Administrative Region—an initiative aimed at positioning the convention and exhibition industry as a global engine for high-value tourism and knowledge exchange, beyond the gaming sector.

This visit not only allowed Induk University students to experience the academic atmosphere of the University of Macau firsthand but also opened new opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions in student learning, industry partnerships, and future academic projects.
