The Centre of Tourism and Integrated Resort Studies (CTIRS) under the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) recently held the Hospitality Student Management Trainee Program Graduation Ceremony 2025, marking the successful conclusion of this signature program dedicated to nurturing hospitality management professionals.

Since its inception, the Hospitality Student Management Trainee Program has always aimed to provide students with practical skills that truly meet the actual needs of hotel operations. To complement the regular FBA curriculum, a series of practical courses have been carefully designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Through systematic knowledge training and valuable internship opportunities, the program aims to build a solid foundation for students to enter the hospitality management field and start relevant internships and jobs after graduation.

The training program consists of two major parts: theoretical and practical training. The curriculum includes a number of key areas such as hotel room cleaning, front office system Opera training, and food and beverage foundation training, building a comprehensive knowledge framework for students. In addition, 40 to 50 hours of internship training were also provided. Students applied what they had learned in the classroom to actual workplace scenarios in activities such as the Macao Sustainable Tourism Development Workshop, formerly named the Integrated Resort Career Simulation Program (IRCSP), where they gained experience and sharpened their skills, thus truly realizing the leap from theory to practice.

The atmosphere of the graduation ceremony was warm and solemn. Prof. Amy SO , Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Director of the Center for Tourism and Integrated Resort Studies, Associate Professor of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, and Faculty Members including Prof. Glenn James MCCARTNEY, Prof. Huiling HUANG, Prof. Soey Sut Ieng LEI, and Prof. Stella Xing LIU, were present to present the awards to the awardees, and expressed their sincere congratulations and high expectations to the graduates. The professors presented graduation certificates to the graduates one by one, and each certificate carries the efforts and growth of the students during the training period. At the same time, in order to recognize the outstanding contributions of the students in the training program, the Academy specially set up the Best Student Leaders Awards, which acknowledged their exceptional leadership and professionalism in the training process, and inspired all the trainees to follow their example and pursue excellence in their future work.

The success of the Graduation Ceremony is not only an affirmation of the students’ learning achievements, but also an important demonstration of the Centre of Tourism and Integrated Resort Studies’ efforts in talent cultivation.
