On October 8, 2025, Assistant Professor Hyunsu Kim from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management at the University of Macau invited Miss Haoqing Luo, Instructor at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM), Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as a guest speaker for the course Food and Beverage Management (IRTM3009). She delivered an insightful session on the topic “Wine Basics & Serving.”
During the lecture, Miss Luo not only introduced the fundamental knowledge of wine and serving etiquette but also used vivid illustrations to explain the complete process of “Grapes to Wine” covering key stages such as harvesting, pressing, fermentation, aging, bottling, and enjoyment. This helped students gain a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship and culture behind wine production.

Miss Luo also incorporated real-world examples to emphasize the importance of wine in food and beverage management and shared professional serving techniques, enhancing students’ awareness and competence for future industry practice.
