On November 9th, the national finals of the Tourism and Convention Innovation and Entrepreneurial Practices competition of the 18th National Business Elite Challenge for Higher Education ended. After 8 months of intense competition, a student team from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management at the University of Macau emerged victorious in the national finals, standing out among over 12,000 registered teams nationwide who went through rounds of selection in the knowledge quiz and provincial competitions. Their outstanding performance earned them the “National First Prize.”

This competition, a national-level event in the cultural tourism and convention category, saw a team composed of Wang Tiancheng (fourth-year student in International Integrated Resort Management), Liao Yujiu (fourth-year student in International Integrated Resort Management), and Morsha Mak (fourth-year student in Business Administration) under the guidance of Assistant Professor Huang Huiling, successfully advanced through various rounds under her guidance to reach the national finals. Wang Tiancheng’s team presented the entry “Marvelous Night in Macau – Cultural and Technological Immersive Night Tour,” themed around Macau’s cultural heritage, designing an immersive tourism experience that integrated innovation, feasibility, and societal value. In the finals, Wang Tiancheng’s team excelled in the Cultural Tourism competition – Tourism New Business Model Planning track, ultimately winning the “National First Prize.”
