Camp Overview

2026 DRTM International Student Summer Camp is a flagship initiative hosted by the DRTM (June 21–25, 2026). Designed for outstanding undergraduate students from around the world, the camp offers a unique opportunity to explore Macao’s vibrant tourism and integrated resort landscape through academic lectures, industry visits, cultural experiences, and campus life immersion. The Camp aims to foster global connections, showcase the strengths of DRTM’s academic offerings, and inspire future postgraduate study at UM.

Priority & Eligibility

  • Priority will be given to upper-level students who intend to pursue a Master’s degree in DRTM at UM.
  • Current or former undergraduate students enrolled in hospitality and/or tourism-related programs in UM partner universities or worldwide (outside Mainland China, Macao SAR, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan), who demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance and research potential.
  • Citizens of Mainland China, Macao SAR, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan are NOT eligible for this Summer Camp.
  • Proficient in English.

Camp Highlights & Opportunities

    • All participants will receive an official Certificate of Participation upon completion of the Summer Camp. You will also engage in a rich blend of academic and cultural experiences, including but not limited to:
    • Interactive academic lectures by DRTM faculty members
    • Campus tour and treasure hunt challenge
    • Networking with students, professors, and industry practitioners
    • Field trip to leading integrated resorts in Macao
  • Opportunity to secure a competitive postgraduate scholarship in advance, covering full/partial tuition and living expenses for Master’s study in DRTM

Fee & Support

  • The Summer Camp is fee-waived. UM will cover on-campus accommodation (in shared rooms), local transportation, meals and activities expenses included in the Summer Camp. A welcome kit will be provided to each student.
  • Students are responsible for their round-trip traveling expenses, insurance, visa fees (if applicable) and other personal expenses.
  • Students are responsible for ensuring that they have sufficient travel insurance coverage for the entire duration of their trip (inclusive of travel) and are advised to review the insurance coverage/policy to ensure that they meet their needs. Students may purchase additional health and/or travel insurance from their preferred agent.
