On behalf of ACCA Hong Kong, I am pleased to announce that the forthcoming ACCA Community Day 2016 will be held on Sunday, 10 January 2016 at the Chater Road Sunday Pedestrian Zone, Central. I write to cordially invite University of Macau to join the ACCA Chairman Tertiary Cup.
This year, we have adopted “Legend of Love” as the theme. As in the past, rickshaw races will be the highlight of the day. To make it more interesting, we have introduced ACCA Chairman Tertiary Cup to invite more students to join the race. We believe that by collective force of giving to the society, we can make a brighter world.
With support from ACCA past chairmen, entry fee will be waived. However, each team is encouraged to raise a minimum donation of HK$200 for charity purposes. Students are responsible for their own round trip tickets between Hong Kong and Macau. Proceeds raised this year will be donated to Jubilee Ministries – Care Faction Meal to serve hot meals for singleton elderly, scavengers, street sleepers, new immigrants and underprivileged families; Operation Dawn Limited – Gospel Drug Rehabilitation Center Basic Facilities Replacement Program to provide a basic living environment for safe drug treatment and Otic Foundation – Protect Your Hearing Community Outreach Programme for the Elders. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTRY
1. Each rickshaw team will comprise 4 runners, 1 passenger and a maximum of 2 assistants.
2. Only students studying in tertiary institutions can participate in the race.
3. With support from ACCA past chairmen, a minimum donation of HK$200 for each team is encouraged.
4. The 3 fastest teams will be awarded as Champion, 1st and 2nd Runners-ups. Teams will be recorded by race time individually, i.e. not competing with the team that race together.
5. Deadline for cheque submission: 31 December 2015. The cheque should be crossed and made payable to “ACCA Charitable Foundation Limited”.
6. Donation receipts will be issued to the contact person after the event for distribution to corporate and individual donors. Donations of HK$100 or above are tax deductible.
