On November 23, the final of the Innovative Competition in Route Design for Study Tour in the Greater Bay Area was held at the International Conference Center of the Guangzhou Huashang College. The competition aims to explore the cultural and tourism resources of the Greater Bay Area and encourage young students to integrate study tours with their school curricula, so as to enhance their innovative abilities. The students from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, Xuyuan ZHANG and Chenwei HUANG, also participated in the competition and won the Second Prize!

Since its launch, the competition has attracted the enthusiastic participation of more than 300 students from nearly 20 schools in 11 cities and municipalities as well as Hong Kong and Macao, demonstrating the extensive influence of the competition and the enthusiasm of young students in the Greater Bay Area for innovation in study tours. Among them, the joint team of the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management of the University of Macau and the City University of Macau, Team DingDing DangDang, stood out from the other 10 teams to enter the final round after the preliminary evaluation with their outstanding performance.

The final included three parts: team roadshow, interactive defense and scoring by the judges. Xuyuan ZHANG and Chenwei HUANG gave a live speech and PPT presentation around the design of the study tour route and curriculum. Their work not only taught in the tour, but also fully demonstrated the cultural and tourism characteristics of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area, and finally won the Second Prize.

The success of the competition not only injected new vitality and inspiration into the development and utilization of cultural and tourism resources in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area, but also unearthed a number of creative and unique study routes. These routes are like a bright link connecting the cultural and tourism resources of the Greater Bay Area with the young students in the cultural and tourism industry.
