Five major players in the gaming industry, namely Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Crown Entertainment, MGM China Holdings Limited, Sands China Ltd, and Wynn Resorts (Macau) (the names are listed in alphabetical order), collectively donated MOP 7.2 million to the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF) to support the University of Macau (UM) in its research and training.
The cheque presentation ceremony was held in the UM Wu Yee Sun Library. UM Vice Rector (Research) Prof Rui Martins and Faculty of Business Administration Dean Prof Jacky So received the cheques from representatives of the five companies on behalf of the UMDF.
