University of Macau (UM) students Jessica Chan, Yang Shuang and Li Yaping, from the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Science and Technology, and Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, respectively, recently won two silver prizes and one bronze prize at the second Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan University Students Creative Plan Championship.
Co-organized by Shenzhen Nanshan People’s Government, Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks, Shenzhen Innovation Federation of University Students, and Hong Kong Association of Mainland Graduates, this year’s championship attracted one hundred and fourteen teams from thirty-eight tertiary institutions and research institutes from Macao, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Taiwan. A total of one gold prize, two silver prizes and three bronze prizes were offered. All participating teams were required to submit the outlines of their creative plans and proposals within a specified time frame, and those that made it to the final had to conduct on-site oral defence and presentation.
Jessica Chan’s team consisted of students from Shenzhen University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology. Yang Shuang’s team included students from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Li Yaping’s team was comprised of students from Peking University, Hong Kong Baptist University and Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
