Abstract
The huge disruptions caused by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with escalations of trade frictions and technological advances, has created great challenges and opportunities in how global supply chains can be managed. New supply chain designs, improved management controls for resilience, and innovative business models have emerged. I called these advancements as “supply chain renaissance.” The Renaissance of the 15th to 17th centuries was marked by technological advancements, new ways of thinking and business transformations, and revivals of culture, art and values. In this talk, I share what we are witnessing as some similar developments in global supply chain management.
