Dr. Haitao Yu, Assistant Professor of Management, has received the Early Career Best Paper Award on Sustainability and Entrepreneurship from the Organizations and the Natural Environment (ONE) Division of the Academy of Management (AOM) at the 2025 AOM Annual Conference.
The award recognizes Dr. Yu’s single-authored paper, “Sense of Place and Sustainable Development: The Case of a Tibetan Luxury Enterprise,” as cutting-edge scholarship at the intersection of entrepreneurship and sustainability.
The paper is drawn from Dr. Yu’s Ph.D. dissertation, which was the first runner-up in the 2022 AOM ONE Division Dissertation Award Competition. It was also nominated for the Best Paper Award at the 2022 GRONEN (Group for Research on Organizations and the Natural Environment) Conference.
