Abstract
The rise of the sharing economy presents the service industry with an opportunity to overcome its “low-efficiency dilemma” and achieve high-quality development. Participants in this economy often assume multiple roles, with interactions involving various parties mediated by Internet platforms. This complexity introduces conflicts, such as role conflicts (family-work-entrepreneurship) and service conflicts among “individual service providers, platforms, and consumers,” which challenge traditional conflict management theories that focus on simple dyadic conflicts. To tackle these issues, our research integrates identity theory, power theory, and institutional theory, utilizing in-depth interviews, surveys, and big data analysis. Through ongoing empirical studies, we aim to advance traditional dual conflict models and propose effective conflict resolution strategies.
