The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau and Griffith University in Australia have jointly launched the “2.5+1.5 (Integrated Resort Management – International Tourism and Hotel Management) Programme”, opening a golden pathway to the international stage for students aspiring to join the global tourism industry.

Programme Overview

The programme closely aligns with Macau’s positioning as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure” and responds to the Macau Government’s Economic Diversification Development Plan (2024–2028), aiming to cultivate tourism management professionals with strong international competitiveness.

This programme is open to undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in International Integrated Resort Management at the University of Macau who select the “Convention and Hospitality Management” stream.

Upon completion of this collaborative programme, students will be awarded:

🎓 University of Macau: Bachelor of Science in International Integrated Resort Management (Convention and Hospitality Management)

🎓 Griffith University: Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management

Both qualifications are widely recognized by local and international authorities. Holding degrees from both universities will significantly enhance students’ international competitiveness and lay a solid foundation for their future careers.

2.5+1.5 Study Mode

Students will complete the first 2.5 years of study at the University of Macau, followed by 1.5 years at Griffith University in Australia, broadening their international perspectives.

The launch of this collaborative programme marks a significant milestone in deepening international collaboration between the two universities and demonstrates Macau’s higher education commitment to internationalization and diversified economic development. The programme reflects international recognition of the University of Macau’s strengths in tourism and hotel management education and research, further cemented its position as a regional hub for higher education.

Through deep collaboration with Griffith University, students will gain access to a multicultural learning environment, broaden their global perspective, and enhance their professional competence. For students in the convention and hospitality management, whether they choose to pursue further studies or enter the global tourism, hospitality, or events industry, they will enjoy broader opportunities and distinct advantages.
